It is so hard to believe that this is the last newsletter of the year! The year has gone by so quickly. We have loved watching your children grow and change in so many ways over the last several months. We hope you have thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well.
This letter is packed with information so please read it very carefully! We will host our Grandparents and Cowboy/Cowgirl Day out at Pretty Lake Church on Wednesday, May 15. Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 8985 IN-17, Plymouth. Children are encouraged to dress in their Cowboy/Cowgirl attire if they would like to do so. There is a space at Pretty Lack Church for us to give our pony rides, work on a special art project, enjoy a snack together, have some fun on the playground, and practice some of our graduation songs for our guests. We would like to give any grandparents that would be available the opportunity to come in and spend some time with us on Cowboy/Cowgirl Day. We thought it would be fun for the grandparents to be able to watch their grandchild ride a pony. If your child does not have a grandparent in the area, you are welcome to decide on a special guest to visit with your child.
You will notice several more special events listed on the calendar. These are meant to be fun days and we encourage everyone to participate. On Beach Day, students may dress for a day of fun in the sun. We ask that students do not wear swimsuits to school. Instead we are encouraging students to wear shorts, tank tops, sundresses, flip flops, etc. Students do not need backpacks on this day!
On Wednesday, May 22, we will meet at Hoosier Old Wheels Pavilion in Centennial Park at 11:00. We will spend time playing in the park, and eating together. Please plan to bring lunch for everyone who joins your family that day. We will eat approximately 11:20, and then share in a few more activities. Please have your child wear his or her preschool t-shirt.
We will also have our graduation ceremony on May 22, at 6:30 pm at Crossroads Church. We ask that students wear their preschool shirts for graduation on this evening. We will also be wearing graduation hats, so we ask that you remember this as you create those fancy dos for this occasion. All students in both classes will be participating in our ceremony, so please plan to attend and to bring friends, and family.
We continue to ask for your assistance in promoting HSW Preschool. Some of you have indicated you still plan to enroll, or know of someone who may be interested. We are quickly filling our classes for next year, so please encourage friends and family members to sign up soon to ensure they reserve a spot. If you would like to register, please let us know.
One final reminder for garage sale donations. We are accepting items for our scholarship sale. If you have any additional items to donate, please let us know! You may bring items at arrival and dismissal or make other arrangements with a teacher. Thanks for your support!
When you register during the month of March & April, you will receive $10 off August tuition in addition to $10 off the registration fee. Don't wait! Register now!

As you are all well aware, there was some dangerous cold this week that prompted us to close. One of the days we missed was Dad's Day. As a result, Dad's Day has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 20th. Additionally, HSW will be hosting a snow make up day on February 18th, 2019 that we had previously scheduled to be closed in observance of President's Day. Please note this change, as we will be in school instead of taking that day off. Also, as many of you may have noticed, HSW now advertises our own closings and delays on WNDU and WSBT. On WNDU we are listed as "HSW Preschool- Plymouth" and on WSBT we are listed as "HIS Small Wonders Preschool- Plymouth." This enables us to have flexibility as to when we feel conditions warrant closings and delays, and for you to check on our school status in another location. We will continue to follow PCSC's decisions in most cases. As always, ensuring that our students and parents are safe is our number one priority. We will continue to close on days that are far too cold to have class.
We can hardly believe that it will soon be time to go back to school! This summer is going by quickly and while we hope everyone is enjoying it, we look forward to getting back into the classroom. We feel so blessed that you have chosen to join us this school year.
With the stores preparing for Back to School Sales, we thought it would be helpful to send a supply list to you now. Please keep in mind that all supplies are shared at HSW, so you will not need to label anything other than your child’s backpack. These items should be brought with you to our open house. We hope that having this list early will be helpful as you prepare for school. Students who are new to HSW will also find an Immunization/Health form that will need to be completed by your physician and returned on or before Thursday, August 30, 2018. For those of you who have returning students, you can update this information if necessary at our open house.
Speaking of open house, we will be hosting our Back to School Open House on Wednesday, August 15th from 5:30-6:30 pm at the preschool located at 220 N. Center Street in Plymouth. Please use the entrance on the side of the building that faces West Washington Street. This is strictly a meet and greet time with paperwork for the parents to complete, so feel free to bring the family. If you are unable to attend, please email us at hswpreschool.com so that we can arrange to send additional forms to you. We are planning to start school on August 20th, from 9:00-11:30.
We look forward to seeing you and your child! We are excited to meet many of you for the first time as well as welcome back some familiar faces. We continue to believe that each child is a blank slate just waiting for inspiration and encourage them to reach as far as they can and dream as big as the sky! We are anxious to begin this journey with you and your family!
We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, August 15th. Until then, enjoy the remainder of the summer and make some memories with your family!
